摘要
随着翻译教学的快速发展,翻译能力的研究成为翻译教学研究的热点话题之一。在中西方学者提出的各种翻译能力模式中,语言能力都是翻译能力构成的一个必须成分。但研究者对于学习者语言能力的培养关注不足。本文结合汉英翻译教学实践,将翻译的语言能力分解为1)词语搭配能力;2)语句能力和3)篇章能力。进一步把语句能力的发展分为三个阶段:1)句法阶段;2)语义阶段;3)审美阶段。从理论和实证的角度论述了翻译的语言能力是培养汉译英能力的核心和基本功。
With the rapid development of translation teaching,the study of translation competence has become a major focus of interest in translation studies.Language competence is considered an essential element in almost all the multicomponent models of translation competence,but it is ignored in these researches.This paper discusses the key role of language competence in translating from Chinese into English,and analyzes the translation learners’ language competence into three parts: word collocation competence,sentence writing competence and textual competence.It further divides the development of sentence writing competence into three phases: syntactic phase,semantic phase and aesthetic phase.The central role of language competence is highlighted in Chinese-English translation training programs.
