Translation Strategies of Chinese Culture from the Perspective of Memetics

本文试图从模因论的视角来探讨中国文化专有项的英译策略。模因论为中国文化专有项的英译引入了信息复制的模式,译者可以通过音译、借译、直译、以及各种变体模因直接或间接地将汉语模因引入目的语,从而将独具中国特色的文化忠实地译出国门。同时,结合模因论来研究中国文化专有项的翻译也加深了我们对模因现象的认识,丰富了译学理论。

This paper explores the translation strategies of Chinese culture from the view of memetics.Memetics leads the mode of imitation into the translation of Chinese culture.The translator can render the Chinese culture into English directly or indirectly in the ways of phonetic meme,borrowing meme,literal meme and other memes with changed forms,thus introducing Chinese culture loyally to the world.This research can deepen our understanding of memetics and enrich the theories of translation.
