The Changes of the Plate Structure and the Formation of the" Physical Features of Sichuan Province

摘要 四川处于我国腹部地区。东部太平洋板块对扬子古板块俯冲的影响,从东往西变弱;而西部印度板块与青藏板块碰撞的影响,则由西往东递减。在这两种力的作用下,造成四川地势特征西高东低,西部是高山高原,东部为山地盆地。本文综述了上述情况。 Sichuan is located in the midland of our country.The effect, caused by the dive of the Pacific Ocean plate from the east upon the Old YantzeP late, is gradually weakening from the east to the west; while the effect, caused by the collision of the India Plate from the west with the Qinghai-Xizang Plate, is gradually weakening from the west to the east. Affected by these two forces, the physical features of Sichuan Province have formed as follows the west part is higher and the east part is lower, in the west part there are. the high mountains and plateau and in the east part the mountainous region and the basin.
