From the commercial point of view, this article discusses the living conditions, marketing tools and development model of Foshan bookshops publishers. It indicates that Foshan bookshops publishers emerge from the civil and commercial mixed communities, running on the basis of small family work- shops. Without experiencing the transition stage in production mode in late Qing Dynasty, Foshan bookshops publishers have to finally sign out from the stage of history.
