Nostalgic Modernity:Thinking on Renewal of Harbin Chinese-baroque Historic Block

本文以现代性为研究视域,明确从怀旧这一新的文化视角阐释历史城区更新的不同思路,进而以哈尔滨中华巴洛克历史街区为例,从身份认同、技术理性、符号拼贴三个层面,剖析更新的现象和问题,提出现代城市怀旧的本质在于场所精神的营造、历史文脉的延续和空间体验的认同。

This article makes a research on the modernity, providing a different way of thinking of the renewal of the historic urban districts in a nostalgic perspective. Taking Harbin Chinese-baroque historical block for example, it analyzes the phenomena and problems of the historical blocks from identity recognition, technology grafting, and symbol output. It puts forward that the essence of nostalgia in modern cities lies in the building of place spirit, the continuation of the historical context, and the recognition of space experience.
