This essay gives a description of an intelligent precision instrument for measuring con'rods. The instrument has 3 operation models:normal measurement, reverse measurement and self - measurement. It can be used to measure various aspects of con'rods of a variety of types with high precision. With a standard con'rod and a standard ring, it can measure its own structural parameters and errors by means of optimization and error determination technology respectively.
