历史的启示 现实的课题——纪念中日邦交正常化40周年

Lessons from the Past,Inspirations for the Present—Marking the 40th Anniversary of the Normalization of Diplomatic Relations between China and Japan

中日邦交正常化40年来,两国在各领域的交流与合作都达到前所未有的水平,在许多方面也出现严重反复甚至倒退。中日关系应如何发展?笔者认为,坚持邦交正常化以来的"四个政治文件"的原则和精神,理性对待和处理两国关系;中日关系应有明确的方向感,不为狭隘民族情绪所左右,不受偏激舆论煽动;把培育两国间的政治互信作为中日关系健康发展的重要保障;双方恪守国际关系基本准则,相互尊重主权,彼此尊重核心利益和重大关切,尊重对方对发展道路的选择。

Since the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan 40 years ago,interactions and cooperation between the two sides in various areas have reached to a level never seen before,while at the same time serious cases full of reversals and zigzags occurred from time to time in quite a few areas.How China-Japanese relations can be promoted? This author would like to explain his position in the following aspects:to adhere to the principals and spirit enshrined in the four political documents since the normalization,and handle their bilateral ties in rationale way;to guide the China-Japanese relationship with a clear sense of direction so that they will not have to be swayed by narrow nationalistic sentiments and to be provoked by extreme public opinion;to provide healthy development of the relations with an important guarantee by fostering political mutual trust between the two sides,and to abide by the basic norms of international relations,and respect each other's sovereignty,core interests and important concerns and respect each other's selection of its development path.
