This paper describes the characteristics and mechanism of nanofiltration separation process, in contrast to the traditional technology to produce lactose, nanofiltration technology,less pollution,low pollution, low energy consumption, high yield, with good prospects for the development. It has been applied to the food in- dustry, chemical industry, pulp and paper industry, textile industry and water treatment industry.
