摘要
在当今国际交流的多语种性及文化的多元性背景下,美国语言学家C.Kramsch教授提出了一种较"交际能力"更为完善的"象征能力",这反映了外语教学的生态转向。围绕象征能力产生的背景是什么,什么是象征能力,语言学习者如何习得象征能力,象征能力的理论基础又是什么这几个问题对"象征能力"理论进行介绍。
The increasingly multilingual and multicultural nature of global exchanges has been raising questions about communicative competence advocated in the field of foreign language education over the past few decades. Claire Kramsch thus proposed a more sophis- ticated competence which is called symbolic competence. This article attempts to introduce this competence to Chinese language learners and educators.
