Discussion on Academic Thoughts of “Yi Lin Sheng Mo”

《医林绳墨》系明代医家方谷与其子方隅共同撰集而成。全书八卷,论及内、外、妇、儿、五官诸科,凡八十余证,在辨证论治、遣方用药方面颇有特色,对中医临床具有重要的参考价值。本文探讨《医林绳墨》的学术思想,即八纲辨证,贯穿始终;审因论治,条分缕析;遣方用药,不拘一格;内伤杂病,注重治痰;女科诸证,理血为本。

＂Yi Lin Sheng Mo＂ was composed by Fan Gu and his son Fan Yu, the Ming Dynasty physicians. Within the eight volumes, the book deals with more than eighty cases in surgery, gynecology, Pediatrics, Otolaryngology, etc. With considerable reference value on clinical Chinese medicine, the book was rather special in the diagnosis and treatment according to syndrome differentiation, and the herbal prescription. This paper discusses the aca- demic thoughts of ＂Yi Lin Sheng Mo＂, such as diagnosis according to the differentiation of eight principal syndromes throughout; thorough analysis on the trcatment according to pathogenic differentiation; not to stick to one pattern in herbal prescriptions; attention to trcat phlegm in internal injuries and miscellaneous diseases ; based on promoting blood circulation in female diseases.
