On Strategic Choice between Self-developing and Outsourcing of Management Information Systems

肇庆地区广大中小企业对管理信息系统自制与外购的选择问题,存在认识误区。使用比较分析和案例分析方法,从战略角度研究管理信息系统自制与外购的选择问题,总结出管理信息系统外购比自制有更大的优势。建议当肇庆地区广大中小企业面对这个战略选择问题,应当考虑选择外购成熟的商用管理软件。

There are lots of misunderstandings on the question that whether to choose self-developing of MIS or to choose outsourcing of MIS in SMEs in Zhaoqing region. By using comparative research method and case analysis method, this article studies the strategic choice between self-developing and outsourcing of management information systems. The paper argues that outsourcing of MIS is better than self-developing. We suggest that SMEs should consider outsourcing of the matured comercial management software when facing the choice between self-developing and outsourcing of MIS.
