以提高高职专学生英语素质为目的,对高职英语教学中的素质教育和应试教育反映的不同教育理念进行分析。从如何提高高职专学生英语素质的方法方面进行论述,提出了要通过培养语言素质、理念素质、开发学习潜能和独立学习能力等来提升高职专学生的英语素质的方法,以达到高职专学生能够培养独立的思维习惯,掌握正确的思维方法的效果。

To improve the students＇ quality in English in higher vocational college,this paper analyzes the different educational concepts of quality education and examination-oriented education in higher vocational English teaching,and discusses how to improve the students＇ quality in English.It proposes to improve the students＇ quality in English by cultivating the language quality,the concept of quality,learning potential and independent learning ability.The students in vocational college can achieve the independent thinking habits and grasp the correct way of thinking.
