摘要
名词短语是构造分句结构的基本构件之一,是构成语言的必要成分。随着名词短语结构研究的不断深入,人们开始把名词短语DP结构与分句CP结构平行处理,认为DP存在与CP同样的内部层级结构。本文通过对比分析英汉两种语言名词短语的结构,以及对"数"形态和量词句法特性的分析,发现英汉名词短语在构造上可以获得统一解释。在DP与NP之间设置AgrP和nP两个功能性投射,名词短语相关问题均可得到有效解决。
A noun phrase is a basic component in clause structure, and a necessary element in language. In recent years, noun phrase constructions are getting more and more attention in language studies and have turned into one of the important linguistic issues in generative grammar. As research on noun phrase constructions progresses, the DP structure of noun phrases begins to be processed in parallel with the CP structure of clauses, and it is considered to have the same inner hierarchies as the CP structure. By observing the structures of noun phrases and comparing the morphology of English 'number' with the mophosyntactic properties of Chinese classifiers, we propose a unified analysis of the structures of noun phrases in both English and Chinese by setting the same two functional projections AgrP and nP in their DP structures, which account for the important prope^rties of noun phrases in the two languages.
