在周代历史事件、历史人物和有关礼制的记载中,司马迁为我们呈现了丰富多彩的周代孝文化。养亲尊亲,善事父母;祭祀祖先,守孝三年;承志立身,光宗耀祖;孝、仁、忠相融合等,都是周代孝文化的内涵。在漫长的历史长河中,周代孝文化具有一定的社会功能,它是后世孝道发展的基础,不仅具有凝聚人心的向心力和感召力,而且具有和谐家庭、稳定社会的功能,并且对塑造中华民族性格也起到了一定的作用。

In the writings about historical events, historical figures and relevant etiquette records, Siam Qian presented a rich and colorful picture of filial piety culture of Zhou dynasty. The connotation of filial piety culture is very rich and varied, such as rai- sing elders, sacrifices to ancestors, mourning the parent for three years, inherited the aspiration of the ancestors and conduct filial piety, benevolence and loyal integration well. In the long historical development, the filial piety culture of Zhou dynasty has certain social functions, and it is the basis of the development of the later filial piety, not only having the cohesive force and charisma, but also having actions of harmonize family, stabilizing the society, and also having some effects on shaping the national character.
