With the ever--increasing demand for talent in the human resources market, the instructional methods and content of professional curricula st vocational technology colleges should adapt in order to cope with the continuous changes in the job market. This paper introduces the basic guidelines and concrete approaches which are developed during the instructional reform in the application oriented electronic technology major at Hunan College of Information.
