德莱塞的宗教世界是一个时空概念,因为在叙事文本中,人物、事件都是在一定的时空背景之下运动着发展着的。德莱塞长篇小说中的时空设置,体现出了他独特的基督式的时空观念。本文试图以德莱塞的代表作《嘉莉妹妹》中的空间描写为例来谈谈其长篇小说中的宗教叙事。

Dreiser＇s religious world is a concept of time and space, because figures and events move and develop in a certain space and time background in his narrative text. The spatio-temporal setting of Dreiser＇s novels reflects his unique Christian concept of time and space. This article takes the description of space in Dreiser＇s masterpiece Sister Carrie as an example to discuss the religious narration of his novels.
