Lao-Tzu＇s Tao Te Ching is an important source of Taoism and rich in inspiring life philosophy. Following after peace and being eager for quiet constitute the significant content of the Taoism. Under the influence of Taoism, O＇Neill demonstrates identical views in his works with that of Lao-Tzu on the whole. Based upon the comparative analysis between Lao-Tzu＇s Tao Te Ching and O＇Neill＇ s works, this article intends to discuss the effects upon O ＇ Neill＇ s works produced by Taoism and their perfect harmony in thought.
