严复视界中的《周易》

I Ching in Yan Fu's Horizon

严复具有自觉的哲学意识,他所认定的中国哲学的经典是《周易》、《老子》、《庄子》。严复十分重视《周易》,尽管没有像对待《老子》、《庄子》那样进行点评,他对《周易》的诠释围绕着哲学思想展开,在一定程度上扭转了前人以宗教言《周易》的局面;严复对《周易》的解读是其国学研究的重要组成部分,并且富有开创性。

Yan Fu is a person with philosophical awareness. He believes that Chinese philosophical classical works include I Ching, Lao Tse and Chuang Tse, of which he pay special attention to I Ching. Though making no comment on the book like what he did to the other two, Yan Fu interpreted I Ching in a philosophical way, to certain extent shifting the fashion of religious interpretation of the book. Being a key part of his national studies, Yah Fu＇s interpretation of I Ching is very original and innovative.
