李绿园撰著的长篇白话小说《歧路灯》,是研究十八世纪中原官话的重要语料,很多词语至今仍保留在河南方言之中。《歧路灯》一些单音词和复音词的意义可以通过方言用例得到恰当的解释,省略式复音词则可以通过形式还原了解其意义。在今后对《歧路灯》的语言研究中应充分重视各种版本的价值。

As a vernacular novel written by Li lvyuan, Lamp in the Side Street preserves an important source of lan- guage materials for the research on official dialects of the central plains of China in the 18th century. Many words and expressions in the novel are still extant in Henan dialect as of today. Meanings of some monosyllabic and poly- syllabic words can be properly explained through an illustration of dialectical usages, and meanings of some acro- nyms can be clarified by returning to their original forms. It is necessary to pay attention to the value of all editions or versions of Lamp in the Side Street to serve a better purpose of researching into dialectical usages in it.
