英语主谓一致反叛的必然性

The Inevitability of Violation of Subject-verb Agreement

主谓一致是英语语法基本问题之一。Quirk等人提出英语要遵循三条原则:语法一致,概念一致,接近原则。但随着语言的发展,出现了许多与之不符的语言现象。本文从语法的规定性,语法范畴的模糊性,语言的动态性这三个方面来说明这种反传统现象出现的必然性,并提出应从新的视角来解释这种现象。

The subject-verb agreement is one of the most basic issues in English grammar. Quirk et al. proposed the three basic principles （grammatical concord, notional concord, and proximity） should be followed. However, ninny linguistic phenomena which violate these principles have been emerged. This article tries to explain its inevitability from three perspectives： language prescriptive, the fuzziness of grammatical categories and language change.
