摘要
随着一系列先进排污控制技术的运用(如三效催化转换器等),在用车的排放已经降到很低的水平,然而一旦排放控制部件出现问题,汽车排放又会陡升。只有建立有效的在用车I/M制度,及时发现问题,及时修复,才能使汽车保持这种低排放特性。本文就美国现行的在用车IM240制度作简要介绍,以期对我国建立适合我国国情的在用车I/M制度提供参考。
Modern vehicles are equipped with sophisticated emission control systems capable of minimizing pollution from exhaust and from evaporating fuel. However vehicles that are poorly maintained or that have malfunctioning emission controls often increase emissions. Only establishing Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) programs can ensure these are work properly so vehicles retain their low pollution profile in actual use. This paper presents the current American I/M programs for in-use vehicle and maybe give reference for our country's setting up its own I/M program.
