The successful development of subject service of research library in university has brought about a change in the li- brary circles in China. Taking the measures adopted by the library of Xi＇an University of Finance and Economics in providing subject service for example, this paper analyzes and discusses the measures which should be adopted by the teaching library in university in providing subject service, which may be used for reference by similar university libraries.
