孟子仁政思想管窥——以“背法匿父”为例

On Mencius's thought of benevolent government——A case study of the story "Shun monarch breaking the law for his father"

孟子擅于用事例来论证观点,通过对他所讲述事例的解读,可以体会他的思想。"背法匿父"事例反映出孟子仁政思想的基本特点:为政者要正己正人、士人从道不从君、事亲原则至上等,同时也不难看出孟子"背法匿父"之弊端,即将事亲原则绝对化,有违于法律和社会的公平公正原则。

Mencius was good at demonstrating his thoughts with examples. We can understand his thoughts by reasoning the stories. Mencius＇ s thought of benevolent government can be interpreted by the story of ＂ Shun monarch breaking the law for his father＂. It has the following characteristics： the governor must he a good exampie, scholars should follow the morals instead of superior orders, filial piety comes first and so on. However, the disadvantage of this thought can also be found, that is, the absolution of filial piety violates the fairness and justness of the law and society.
