"高分子"、"大分子"和"聚合物"这3个术语是高分子学科领域内最重要的基本术语,三者相互联系又相互区别。文中通过对其分别进行定义,揭示了它们之间的区别和联系。通过分析认为,"高分子"与"大分子"二者可以作为同义词对待。总结了在当今时代环境下"高分子"一词常见的借代含义。文章最后指出,"高分子"一词已经成为高分子学科中文学术语言系统中一个具有中心地位的词,其在构建高分子学科中文学术语言体系中所起的重要作用,是"大分子"、"聚合物"等术语无法相比的。

＂Polymer molecule＂,＂macromolecule＂and ＂polymer＂,these three terms are the most important terms in polymer science area.They are both interconnecting and distinguishing with each other.In this paper,the difference and the connection of these three terms were represented by defining them respectively.Through serious analysis,we proposed that ＂polymer molecule＂ and ＂macromolecule＂ can be treated as synonyms.The common connotations after metonymy of the Chinese term ＂polymer molecule＂ in current age surroundings were summarized.It was proposed at the end of the paper that the Chinese word of ＂polymer molecule＂ has been a word of central position in Chinese-language academic-speak system of polymer science.The Chinese word of ＂polymer molecule＂ plays a very important role in constructing the Chinese-language academic-speak system of polymer science,as far as this point is concerned,the Chinese word of ＂macromolecule＂ and ＂polymer＂ etc.can not be comparable with it.
