应用型本科院校开设大学英语选修课的思考

Thoughts on Selective Courses for College English in Application-oriented University

随着大学英语教学改革继续向前推进,一些高校纷纷压缩基础英语课时,大量开设选修课程。文章从选修课的开设理据、师资队伍、课程设计、教材选择和教学管理等方面探索了应用型本科院校开设大学英语选修课的可行性。

The college English teaching reform since 2002 exerts a great impact on basic college English teaching.As the teaching reform has been being vigorously pushed forward,some universities have compressed basic English classes,and offered some selective courses.This paper discusses the feasibility of running selective English courses in application-oriented university in terms of the motivation,teaching staff,course design,teaching material selection and teaching management.
