Yah Geling＇s The Ninth Widow has roused great concern in academic circles since its publication. It has been analyzed and interpreted by many scholars from the following perspectives： cultural criticism or feminism. In fact, an excellent text has tremendous potential to be interpreted. This paper attempts to probe the reasons of the artistic enchantment of The Ninth Widow by means of Structuralism and Narratolgy.
