中英文网络词语的模因比较

Comparing the Chinese and English Net Words from a Memetic Perspective

网络语言已引起越来越多语言学研究者的注意,但主要是从应用语言学、社会语言学或者语用学的角度。而模因论是近年来一种用来解释文化进化规律的新理论,模因通过语言进行复制和传播。网络交际中,英语的网络交际者和汉语的网络交际者都通过词缀法、旧词获得新义法、混成法、合成法、首字母缩写法以及借词法等构词法的模因复制来创造新词。

Becoming widely popular, net words have aroused greater interest of researchers, especially of those in applied linguistics, sociolinguistics or pragmatics. Memetics is an emerging new theory for interpreting cultural evolution, though. This article tries to study the formation of net words with the theory of memtics. It is found that both Chinese and English coin new net words, mimetically, through the same word-building devices such as affixation, meaning alteration, blending, compound- ing, acronym and borrowing. Here a lot of examples are provided to illustrate the similarities in the formation of Chinese and English net words. It is hoped that the present paper will contribute to the analysis of net words.
