Building a Scientific Theory on Urban-rural Integration and the Chinese Model of Urbanization

本文报告和阐述了对城乡统筹规划理论的科学建构。对与理论科学性相关及衍生的重要问题,包括科学知识与科学研究的本质、城市化与农村现代化的中国模式以及现状相关研究的误区、方法论根源与潜在危险,一并进行了讨论。

This paper reports and elucidates the urban-rural integration planning theory built and practiced by the author. It focuses on the conclusions of the theory, but also tries to include the most important verifications relating to the scientific nature of the theory. The length of the article limits the details of discussion, but the very systematic nature of Chinese rural and urbanization issues makes it inescapable to involve some concise but crucial argument and answer on these big questions： the nature of scientific knowledge and research, the Chinese model of urbanization and rural modernization, the weakness of existing research, and its methodological causes and potential danger.
