Cultural Contrast and Pragmatic Failure in Nonverbal Communication in Chinese and English

为更好地提高汉英两种语言间的跨文化交际语用能力,文章对汉英两种文化在非言语交际中的异同进行了归纳。指出,不可忽视汉英非言语交际文化的缺乏而导致的语用失误现象。

This paper mainly sums up the differences in the nonverbal communication between Chinese and English cultures in order to further improve the cross - cultural communication and pragmatic performance. Meanwhile it points out that we can＇ t neglect the phenomenon of the pragmatic failure rusulted from the lack of nonverbal communication in Chinese and English cultures.
