白居易的文学观念中由于渗入了很多为政治服务的因素,因而与人们对文学的期望存在较大的距离。假如将之作为指导创作的理论,无疑不利于文学的发展。而他的《长恨歌》《琵琶行》等文学价值很高的篇目恰恰是背离其文学观念的。由此可见,文学中的政治应该是情感性、想象性和形象性的,而不是特别指点出来的。

A lot of political factors were infiltrated into Bai Juyi＇s concept of literature. Therefore there＇s a big distance between the concept and public expectations. If taken as the creative guidance, it can not do good to the development of literature. But his poems with high literary value, such as A Song of Unending Sorrow , Pipa Poem , are just deviated from his literary concept. Thus, politics in literature should be of e-motion, imagination and image, rather than being specifically pointed out.
