Synopsis: The present article discusses the reason why the technique of metal mold casting is paid great attention in advanced countries. From the chemical composition, trace element, inoculation and thermal exchange of metal mold casting, the principle of chill formation and the effective methods for preventing chill were studied. At the end, the article points out the correct way of developing this technique.
