Continuing Education for Librarians in the 21 Century

文章首先对我国图书馆员继续教育的概念进行了界定,阐明了其思想基础,并简要回顾了其发展历程,详细分析了其存在的问题。为不断更新馆员知识,提高其创新能力,推动馆员继续教育走向法制化、系统化、现代化,提出了从思想观念、法律保障、组织保障、网络教育四个方面,加强我国馆员继续教育的策略。

This paper firstly defines the concept of continuing education for librarians in China, elarifies its ideological basis, briefly reviews its development history and gives out a detailed analysis of its problems. To constantly update the knowledge of librarians, im- prove their innovative capacity and promote the continuing education for librarians to be legal, systematic and modern, the author puts forward some strategies to strengthen continuing education for librarians, including the ideas, legal and ganization protection and net- work education. 8 refs.
