Renewable Energies and Smart Distribution Network in Japan

This paper gives a review of renewable energy plan and the technical issues that may occur during the realization of those goals. The effects of large-scale integration of wind power and solar energy on the Japanese utility grid are studied. Several experimental verification projects are introduced to show the recent progress.
