摘要
本文分析了圣索菲亚教堂的背景与现状，指出在市场经济的形势下该教堂及其环境所面临的挑战与机遇，提出了运用城市设计方法，对教堂周围地区进行开发和综合整治的构想和方案。
Analyzing the historical background and the present situation of St. Sophia's church in Harbin, this paper points out that the church is facing a critical challenge and opportunity under the shifting state economy from planned system to market system. A design solution for restoring the church and redeveloping its surrounding area is finally suggested.
