On the Thoughts of Governing Taiwan by Zhang Si-chang——A Case Study of Records When Touring in Taiwan

张嗣昌于雍正十年莅台,三年后离任,他在台湾颇有治绩,但学界目前尚无人对其进行系统研究。文章从处理"大甲西社番乱"善后、教育、行政、经济四个方面,对张嗣昌具体的施政做出论述,以就教于方家。

Zhang Si-chang went to Taiwan to be the governor in the tenth year of Emperor Yong- zheng＇s period. Three years later, he left his post. Zhang Si-chang had very good governance when he was in Taiwan but there is no systematic research on it in academic circles. In this pa- per,from the four aspects of rehabilitation,education, administration and economy after the ＂Da- jiaxishe Rebellion＂ , the concrete administration by Zhang Si-chang will be discussed so as to con- sult the other experts.
