摘要 8月16日下午两点,北京798艺术区“D·PARK79罐”。千名身着橙色T恤的“米粉”和媒体在昏暗灯光下等待当天的主角——小米手机2(以下简称“米2”)。 2:00 PM, August 16, the atmosphere at a fashion site of Beijing 798 Art Zone is quite hot: in the dim light, the crazy fans burst into screams now and then. This is not a live concert; this is the product launch of a mobile phone named Mi-2, which is presented by the Chinese mobile phone company Xiaomi Tech. During the whole activity, Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, shared lots of hardware parameter details of Mi-2 with the audience. With high-endhardware and relatively economical price, Mi-2 easily wins its own fans and customers. Industrial insiders estimate that like its predecessor Mi-1, Mi-2's price is even lower than the cost in the early stage, but as hardware cost drops, it will make profit since the medium stage. Both inside and outside the company, Xiaomi is trying to establish emotional connections with fans and staffs. The company is also making good use of micro blogs, and this has become an extremely low- cost channel to communicate and interact with supporters. The mode of Xiaomi is quick, efficient and effective. This is a successful innovation attempt. The only question is: how long will it work?
