"村"是中古时期新产生的一个词,意为"村庄"、"聚落"。从产生之日开始,"村"在中古文献中便得到了广泛的运用。本文考查了"村"在汉译佛经中的使用场合、搭配情形,从而有助于我们了解中古汉语"村"字的使用情形。

In mid-ancient Chinese language, ＂村＂ is a new word which means ＂settlement＂ and ＂village＂. From the day of its birth, ＂村＂ has been widely used in mid-ancient Chinese documents. The paper studies the using occasion and collocation of ＂村＂ in Chinese translation of Buddhist Scriptures, which helps to un- derstand the usage of ＂村＂ in mid-ancient Chinese language.
