“云起社”与17世纪福建乡绅的劝善活动

本文利用日本所藏的海内孤本《云起集》这一珍贵文献,对几乎被当今学界所遗忘的17世纪初福建乡绅颜茂猷作一个案探讨。文章具体分析了他所发起的"云起社"及其五大分会的组织结构以及会规会约等内容,指出颜茂猷努力在社会基层组织云起社来推动劝善活动,力图使个人的道德行善得以组织化、系统化,进而化为一场乡村社会运动,其目标不仅在于实现自我改善,更在于重建乡村秩序,而在颜茂猷看来,这两项工作不仅是个人应当自觉努力的方向,而且同时也是一项共同的社会事业。

Using the only copy of Yunqiji housed in Japan,the paper gives a case study of Mr.Yan Maoyou,a country gentleman in Fujian Province in the early 17~th century who is almost forgotten by contemporary scholars.The paper analyzes the structure and regulations of Yunqi Society as a grassroots organization and its five branches as well as its activities for encouraging the people to do good things and popularize good ethics in a systematic way.This country movement aimed at perfecting oneself and reconstructing the village order,which Mr.Yan Maoyou regarded as a worthy cause of himself and the community.
