摘要
处于西方文化中心区域的欧盟,主要从禁止歧视的角度开展其保障平等就业权、推行平等待遇原则的工作。欧盟在反对就业歧视、保障平等就业权方面做出的努力取得了明显的效果。这一成就的取得,不仅有赖于其层次分明、内容完备的立法,还与成员国促进平等待遇原则的专门机构的设置,欧盟委员会对成员国实施欧盟法情况的有效督促等措施,以及司法救济途径的有效有着极大的关系。
EU,located in the centre of Western culture,promotes the principle of equal treatment mainly from the angle of combating discrimination.EU's efforts have led to good effects on combating employment discrimination and safeguarding equal employment rights,which has much to do not only with mature EU laws at different levels,but also with member states' institutions for the promotion of equal treatment,European Commission's effective supervision of member states' transposing EU laws,the efficiency of judicial remedies,etc.
