参加远程开放教育学习的学员主要来自于在职人员。他们之所以选择远程开放教育的学习,最主要的原因是学生可以不受时间、地点、空间的限制,可以根据自己的实际情况运用多种媒体和途径进行自主学习,从而克服工作、家庭与学习之间的矛盾,达到工作、学习两不误的目的。因此,为学生提供优质的学习支持服务是现代远程教育存在和发展的基础,是电大开放教育教学质量的根本保证,也是电大开放教育人才培养模式的重要特色。
