《野火集》是二十多年前龙应台在海峡两岸刮起"龙卷风"的引擎。作为一位海岛文人,她以其丰厚的文化背景,不落俗套的理性思考、质朴率真的感性表达,憨胆为文,直面台湾上世纪八十年代中期的种种弊病,秉持着个人主义和自由主义,对当时政治力量进行"策略性"批判写作,存在局限性不可避免。

Collection of Wildfire is the engine tostart ＂ tornado＂ by LongYingtai across the Taiwan Strait more than 20 years ago. As a writer, with her rich cultural background , the plain sincere perceptual expression which does not conform to conventional pattern. Facing the social malpractices, as an individualist and a liberalist, she carried on critique writing on the political power . The historical limitation of her writing is inevitable.
