台湾地区的科研机构及其发展状况

A Study of the Development of Research Institutions in Taiwan

作为科学建制化的重要标志,科研机构在促进科技的进步与发展方面起着举足轻重的作用。台湾地区科研机构的发展是一个值得密切关注的问题,从1949年起,它先后经历了两个极富特色的发展阶段,呈现自身独立发展、与中国大陆互补共进的鲜明特点。对台湾地区科研机构的发展分析,应该关注坚持理性信仰、提倡合理竞争、实施科学方法的文化手段等问题。

Scientific research institutions, as an important indicator of institutionalization of research, have contributed tremendously to promoting the progress of science and technology. The development of research institutions in Taiwan is a topic of great significance. Since 1949, research institutions in Taiwan have undergone two distinctive periods of develop- ment characterized by independent development and co-progress through complementary interactions between Taiwan and the Mainland. This paper argues that more attention should be paid in the analysis of the development of research institu- tions in Taiwan to such cultural approaches as insistence on rational belief, promotion of reasonable competition, and imple- mentation of scientific methodology.
