摘要
基质金属蛋白酶(matrix metalloproteinases,MMPs)是一种锌依赖性的肽链内切酶,近来因其特有的理化作用而受到越来越多的关注。新近研究发现MMPs可以参与炎症反应、血管重构等生理病理过程,提示它可能与某些炎症相关的血管疾病如大动脉炎、动脉粥样硬化、腹主动脉瘤,甚至高血压,急性冠脉综合征等有着不容忽视的相关性。本文重点阐述MMPs的基本生化特性,其在炎症反应与血管重构中的作用以及MMPs在大动脉炎病情评估方面的的价值,希望能为临床及基础研究提供新的参考。
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are a kind of Zn-dependent endotryptase and it has special physico-chemical properties. Recent studies have demonstrated that matrix metalloproteinase could play an important role in inflammation and vascular remodeling, which indicate that it may has relationship with some inflammatory vascular diseases such as Takayasu~ s arteritis, atherosclerosis, abdominal aneurysm, even hypertension, acute coronary syndrome and so on. In this paper, we will elaborate the basic physico-chemical properties of MMPs and its role in inflammation and vascular remodeling,especially its value in evaluating the disease activity of Takayasu's arteritis.
