The Effects of Linguistic Views on Language Testing Development

摘要 语言测试是测量语言能力的工具。语言测试学与诸多学科有着很深的渊源,已经发展成为一门多学科交叉的综合性学科。其中,语言学研究与语言测试有着最直接而密切的关系。从西方语言学发展中出现的比较有影响的流派及其主要理论着手,主要探讨结构主义语言观、功能语言观及交际语言观对现代语言测试发展的影响。 Language tests are instruments used to measure language ability or aptitude. Language testing is originally connected with many other subjects, becoming a comprehensive discipline of multi--subjects. The most closely and directly related subject is Linguistics. Taking the initiative in reviewing the major schools of Linguistics in the West and some influential theories in the past, this paper mainly discusses the effects of Struc- turalism, Functionism and communicative conception of language in modern linguistic testing development.
