摘要
"意向性"和"符号的构成"是语言哲学中的重要课题,"符指动词"和"小句主语"则是语言学研究中的薄弱环节。符指动词的语义本质及其语法特点,以具体可查的语言形式使"意向性"和"符号的构成"获得了深刻的验证和阐明;符号构成的认知特点分析又为符指动词和小句主语的跨学科研究开拓了新路径。符指动词的特征表明:以符指动词为标记的单向的意向性是符号生成的构成性要素;人们可以利用符指动词将某一事件符号化,从而纳入意识范畴;符指客体是认知活动的结果和焦点。
The signal verb is one of the intentional verbs, and it joins the significant to the signifier. Its essential characteristic is ＂being intentional＂. In grammar, a signal verb carries an object which is a sentence, and most important, it can use a sentence asia subject. The research of signal verbs will not only help us learn much more about signal structure and intention; it also tells a good deal about the cause of the sentence object, and particularly the sentence subject.
