印尼华人社团既经历过发展的繁荣岁月,也一度处于凋零或衰落的时期。随着20世纪90年代末印尼进入后苏哈托时期以来,印尼华人社团又一次进入了繁荣发展的阶段。在后苏哈托时代,印尼华人社团的繁荣发展和影响力的不断增强,为印尼社会树立了良好的形象,也为印尼华人社团参与构建和发展中国软实力奠定了很好的基础。印尼华人社团在加深印中之间的了解,促进印中合作及关系的改善,传播中华文化等方面都或多或少地提升了中国印象,增强了中国软实力。

The overseas Chinese communities in Indonesia have experienced the prosperous time of development,while once they underwent the period of withering or declining.As soon as Indonesia entered the time of Post-Suharto in the late of 1990s,the overseas Chinese communities in Indonesia stepped into a stage of vigorous development again.In the Post-Suharto era,Indonesian overseas Chinese communities enjoyed constant enhancement of prosperity and influence,and established a good image in the Indonesian society.At the same time,they also created favorable conditions in the development of China's soft-power.Indonesian overseas Chinese communities contributed more or less in the advancement of Chinese image and China's soft-power during the pace of deepening the Indonesia-China relations,promoting Indonesia-China cooperation and Chinese cultureal dissemination.
