On Radix Astragali

就黄芪的功效、炮制及其临床应用等问题 ,在古今文献论述相左的基础上作一探讨。认为黄芪用于保健 ,功效不逊于诸参膏滋 ,且价廉物美 ;用于治疡 ,但取温托 ,未可概谓之圣药 ;配伍防风 ,则有功无制。对宋代以来 ,诸家黄芪生、炙异用情况 ,主张通过现代科学研究予以证实。

This article presents the action,preparation and clinical application of Chinese herb,Radix Astragali,on the basis of ancient and current literature.It is believed that Radix Astragali is used for healthcare better than other tonics and with low cost;it is used to treat skin infection for its warm and expelling nature;it can complement with Radix Saposhnikoviae in action.Since the Song Dynasty,the usage of raw or prepared Astragali has been arguing;it is suggested the argument should be settled by modern scientific researches.
