In The Masque of the Red Death, Allan Poe expresses the idea that its theme corresponds to its form, which is a strange inversion of the traditional plot. Its form can be considered as a process of accumulating the amount of information, and its title shows a contradiction between the subject and the object. Creation and destruction, life and death symbolize the two extremes, between which readers are heavily and completely enveloped in an atmosphere of stronger and deeper sorrow. The Masque of the Red Death is a notice of death sentence for absolute rulers themselves.
