摘要
《藻海无边》这部加勒比文学的经典之作通常被看作是小说《简·爱》的前传。但《藻海无边》在内容、写作风格及主题上都与《简·爱》有着巨大的差别。它既不是《简·爱》的继承也不是其补充。而是对《简·爱》从人物塑造到主题表达再到叙事话语的一次完全颠覆。
Wide Sargasso Sea, one of the classics of Caribbean literature is regarded as the prequel to Jane Eyre. However, these two novels have less in common from the aspects of writing style, themes and the narrating strategy. Wide Sargasso Sea is not the eomplement to Jane Eyre but the subversion and reconstruction to the novel.
