元稹笔下“模勒”可释为雕版印刷之证

On Evidence for the Phrase “Mole" Yuan Zhen Used Being Interpreted as “Woodblock Printing"

唐代著名诗人元稹在《白氏长庆集》序中提及,当时白、元诗为世人"模勒"衒卖于市井。对元稹笔下"模勒"一词,有作"雕版"讲者,有作"钩勒"讲者,长期争论不休。本文根据唐中和年间杜光庭《历代崇道记》中记载的有关"模勒"一词用法的资料,认为元稹笔下"模勒"应释为"雕版"。

Yuan Zhen, a famous poet in Tang Dynasty, wrote a preface to the Collected Poems of Bai Juyi in the Changqing Reign Period. In the preface, Yuan Zhen mentioned that both of poems by Bai Juyi and himself were ＂mole＂ for sale. For the phrase ＂mole＂, some researchers interpreted it as ＂woodblock printing＂, some interpreted it as ＂copy＂ This author suggests that the phrase ＂mole＂ Yuan Zhen used should be interpreted as ＂woodblock printing＂, according to the phrase mole used in the work titled The Notes on Adored Tao in the Dynasties by Du Guangting in Zhonghe Reign Period.
